Financial Audit Preparation & Readiness

With growth comes the possibility of required financial statement audits. Having started my career in public accounting, I have the unique perspective of being the auditor, being audited when I moved to Corporate, and now, being instrumental in helping clients efficiently complete their initial or annual financial audit and/or due diligence when the time comes.

Finance & Accounting Operations

In my career, I've been responsible for most accounting functions. Working in startup companies has provided the ability to establish critical practices and procedures always considering costs and benefits. I leverage my accounting expertise and ability to connect to gain required information from other departments throughout the organization.

Mergers & Acquisitions

I am fortunate to have experience on both the buying and selling side of acquisitions, mainly with private equity-owned companies. On the selling side, I’ve been instrumental in coordinating and completing stub period audits and other diligence work. On the buy-side, I’ve been instrumental in creating a welcoming environment for new team members and integrated the accounting processes, procedures and financials.

Systems Implementation

At the start of a system implementation I like to understand the what, how and why certain things are being done. And understanding the answer to the question, "how do we expect to improve the process by adding in a new system?" This pause and reflect saves valuable time and money for the company by avoiding putting broken processes into a new system. I have had the opportunity to be a key player in system implementations from due diligence, to system design, project rollout, testing, and training.
